- I registered for the symposium, but I am unable to attend.
We are saddened to hear you will not be able to attend the symposium. You may try to resell your ticket, as the name on the ticket does not matter, provided the attendee falls into the same ticket category (LIFE member, student, or other). Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds for tickets.
- I am not a student (associated with TU Delft or Leiden University) nor a member of Study Association LIFE. Am I still able to attend the symposium?
Yes, the symposium is open to everyone!
- Do I need to print my ticket?
No, printing is not necessary, despite any instructions provided by Bitscan on your ticket or the booking page. A digital version of your ticket displaying the barcode is sufficient for entry.
- Is it possible to only visit a selection of the sessions instead of the full symposium?
While it is not mandatory to attend the full programme of the symposium, if you plan to leave early or are only interested in certain sessions, we recommend waiting for one of the scheduled coffee breaks to minimize disruption.
- How do I arrive at Naturalis?
It is possible to arrive by car, public transport, or bicycle.
- Public Transport: Naturalis is easily accessible via public transport. The closest train station is Leiden Central. From there, it is a pleasant 10 to 15-minute walk, or you can take a local bus.
- Car: Parking spots are available near Naturalis (e.g., in the adjacent museum car park or nearby public garages). Please check the Naturalis website for the most up-to-date parking information and tariffs.
- Bicycle: Sufficient bicycle racks are available near the main entrance for parking your bicycle.
- Do I need to bring my own lunch, and what if I have allergies?
Lunch will be provided for you (this is already included in your ticket price)! The lunch and all appetizers served will be vegetarian. An email will be sent closer to the symposium date where you can disclose any allergies and indicate whether you would prefer a vegan option. If you did not receive this email, please contact us at lstsymposium@tudelft.nl.
- How does the symposium actively contribute to sustainability?
We have taken several measures to reduce our environmental impact. For example, our promotional materials (programme booklets, posters and pens) are made from recycled materials and we do not distribute flyers. Next to this, all food provided will be vegetarian!
- What happens to my personal data?
The organizing committee will receive the personal data of the participants who signed up via Bitscan. The committee will use and store this data only as long as required for the successful conclusion of the symposium. This includes sending the printed review report to you, the visitors. All data will be deleted after the successful conclusion of the symposium. Additional privacy statements for Bitscan and Study Association LIFE can be found on their respective websites.
